(NASDAQ: HSWI), a global digital media company, today announced the appointment of Carrie Ferman as Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Business Development, a new position. Ms. Ferman will be responsible for strategic and operational leadership as well as identification and execution of growth opportunities. She will play a key role in the expansion of the Company's B-to-B services as well as launching new consumer-focused websites leveraging its social media discussion platform. The Company recently announced its intention
to change its corporate name to Remark Media in December.

Ms. Ferman brings to HSW International a broad range of discipline experience including television, film, publishing, cable distribution, and digital and social media. Ms. Ferman holds an MBA from Dartmouth College and a BA in Economics from University of California, Los Angeles.
